It was only last night that it came to mind that I missed a few riffs. One in particular. Rum Aviation. For this recipe I’m going to be using lime instead of lemon juice. Otherwise the specifications are the same.
2 oz. Flor de Caña 4 Year (or your favorite dry white rum)
3/4 oz. Lime Juice
1 tsp. Luxardo Maraschino
2 tsp. Rothman & Winter Creme de Violette
Build on a cocktail shaker, then add ice, hard shake until cold or about 9 seconds. Double strain into a cocktail glass, garnish with Cherry or Lime Peel or as my compatriot Scott Kundla suggested an edible flower such as an orchid.
