In the last post we made cucumber beer. Now that we have it, what do we do with it? Hereis a quick suggestion.
1 1/2 oz. Nolet’s Silver Gin
3/4 oz. Freshly pressed Lime Juice
2 oz. Cucumber beer
If you have a copper mule mug, now is the perfect time to put it to good use. If not a double old fashioned glass will do the trick.
First we want to crack some ice and crush it. If you have a pebble ice machine just pack your glass, if not get a large handful of ice cubes, place them in a kitchen towel and with a mallet, hammer, pot, pan, muddler, rolling pin or whatever blunt intrument you have and pulverize the ice. The towel will soak up any ice melt.
Once you have a nice mound of crushed ice, pack it into your mug/glass until you have a small dome.
First we will add the lime juice, followed by gin and top off slowly with cucumber beer. Garnish with cucumbers or mint or both! Cheers!
